YOGA.Hatha Yoga is the art and science of using physical postures and breath awareness, plus relaxation and meditation techniques, to bring the body, mind and spirit into balance. Yoga has been praised for offering increased strength, flexibility and mental clarity, as well as pain relief, increased body alignment, and muscular toning We gently guide you through a hatha based yoga practice that involves consciously focusing on breath through slow integrated movement. Postures are held long enough to allow you to explore the dynamics of your personal alignment and adjust to the posture, giving you the space to deepen your practice. We practice many relaxing, strengthening and lengthening postures. Suitable for all levels There are nine different paths of yoga besides Patangali's eight limbs of yoga. Throughout your yoga practice with Buhnaun, you will have the opportunity to explore all nine paths. MASSAGE.~ Mat/Floor Massage Known as Northern Thai Massage or Thai Yoga Massage, this ancient style boasts a lineage stretching back to the time of the Buddha. It is a unique hybrid of massage and yoga involving a series of stretches, rhythmical muscular compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure. We had a rare opportunity to learn Northern Thai Massage at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The receiver has the luxury of remaining in loose clothing throughout the massage. The therapist performs whole body manipulation using hands, forearms, knees, and feet. Mat/Floor Massage is a natural healing practice that is excellent for maintaining health and attaining a state of balance and harmony. It is used for a wide variety of needs including sports, injuries, general body pain and increased flexibility and alignment. ~ Table Massage In addition to Northern Thai Massage, we offer a variety of table massage techniques, including Sports Massage, European, Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofacial Release, Strain/Counter Strain, and Swedish Relaxation Massage INFUSION THERAPY.Combining the best of both worlds, you move from a semi-private, 1 hour yoga class onto a massage mat for a 1 hour Northern Thai Massage. Two key ingredients in any massage are blood flow and surrender. These are easily accomplished with Infusion Therapy. By allowing your mind to surrender through yoga, you are ready to truly enjoy the full benefits of massage. We offer Infusion Therapy by request only at this time for 2 - 4 people.
